Heli-deck Jack Up

Synchronized jacking of ships heli-deck required 16 jacks lifting in tandem to raise the fully assembled deck 100mm. This allowed the installation of addition steel work and insulation strips. Once completed the deck was lowered and bolted in position.

On-site Bolt Tensioning

72 off M33 Crane Slew ring foundation bolts are tensioned to 595Kn of load. Limited clearance around the bolts meant tensioners working at 2275 Bar needed to be utilized. Using air/hydraulic tensioning pump the 72 bolts were tensioned by our on-site engineers to 50% then to 100%.

Bridge Form Work Bolt Tightening

Usually performed using impact wrenches customer realized the benefits of using non-impact precise torque control 110 volt electric nut runners. Here the operator delivers 650Nm of torque effortlessly without vibration or excessive noise.

Hydraulic Press Tensioning Nuts

Vibration during the production cycle of large forming presses kept loosening tie rod tightening nuts, one site visit provided enough information to propose the use of M156 x 2.5mm pitch hydraulic lock nuts. Lost production costs arising from regular loosening of the original ring nuts provided over whelming justification to purchase.

Bridge Deck Drilling

A bridge strengthening company required equipment and solutions to several drilling applications on a major UK viaduct. Solutions included the supply of hydraulic clamps and low height magforce drilling machines. Experience proved to be an invaluable solution when providing a quick and easy method to drill out old overhead rivets leaving blind holes that required tapping to suit M30 bolts.

Special Hydraulic Lifting Frame

This special hydraulic aluminum lifting frame provides a simple ,safe and effortless method of lifting 1 tonne concrete slabs. Four hydraulic single acting rams provide the power to lift all four corners via the threaded stud bar and clevis. attachments.

On-site Bolt Tightening

144 bolts are tightened to 2800Nm using a Plarad MSX EC 45 TST square drive wrench with 110 volt semi-automatic electrically driven torque pump. With approx 1100 bolts left to tightening Plarad constant cool torque pumps perform without interruption.
